The “Vecumnieku Silavas” route is ready to offer you a beautiful winter forest adventure, where you can breathe in the incredibly fresh air, enjoy the peaceful pine forest scenery, and experience the sense of calm that can only be found in nature.
The forests of Vecumnieki hide steep dunes, beautiful woodland landscapes, and mysterious roads and trails. And if winter has treated us to a blanket of snow, this will become a true winter wonderland.
The hike in Vecumnieki starts at a quarry surrounded by forests, where the wide-open landscape and steep dunes are sure to take your breath away. This is where a scenic adventure begins, filled with incredibly fresh air and peaceful forests. Following trails and forest roads, you will reach a steep dune that will put your strength to the test more than once, but reward you at the top with a wonderful view across the vast pine forests.
And then – onwards! The trails will lead you to a lovely rest area where you can take a break before continuing towards a beautiful little forest lake. Here, you can stop for a moment and simply enjoy the nature around you. Then it is only a little further before you return to the finish, with your lungs full of fresh air and plenty of memories from the trail.
